Dear Mettrum Clients,
This past December, Mettrum issued a press release updating on the status of an ongoing Type 3 Voluntary Recall initiated by our company. A Type 3 Recall is defined by Health Canada as a situation in which the use of, or exposure to, a product is not likely to cause any adverse health consequences.
This press release was not required, and was secondary and complementary to the detailed product recall procedures in place at Mettrum. These procedures include contacting all clients that are identified as having purchased the affected product and working with Health Canada throughout this recall to ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
If you purchased any impacted product, you would have been contacted directly by our client service team to explain the situation, answer any questions you may have, and to offer a refund of your product. If new products are added to the recall and it impacts you, you will be contacted immediately.
Our team at Mettrum has also undertaken a rigorous and ongoing investigation, in order to add further security and testing procedures to help ensure that this can never happen again. We have removed several products from our store while we re-test these products to ensure they meet the highest standards possible.
We remain deeply committed to the best production practices possible, and to maintaining the highest level of product quality and reliability available.
